In the fall of 1987, a group of friends and recent high school graduates from Granite Hills and Valhalla High Schools wished to carry on their friendly rivalry by playing a flag football game. Since most of the friends were away from East County attending their freshman year of college, they agreed to play the game on the day after Thanksgiving when they would be home visiting family.
As the friends got older and more mature, they decided to play golf instead of football. Since that time, this core group of friends has been playing golf, catching up on old times, and having a great time raising a few bucks for worthwhile, local charities.
