Day Camps
When school’s out, the Club is in! Our engaging out-of-school camps are designed to spark fun, learning, and personal growth for members. Camps are available over Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break! Please check with your Club for specific details and dates.
About Camp:
- Our Day Camps run Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 2:00pm (locations vary, contact your Club for details), during school breaks. Drop-in hours are 2:00-6:00pm.
- Camp fees are charged by day or week, depending on the length of camp
- All youth must have an active membership at the specific Boys & Girls Clubs of East County Clubhouse in which they plan to attend camp
- Children must be at least 6 years old and completed Kindergarten/ enrolled for 1st Grade, to attend Summer Camp
- Teens must be enrolled in high school and no older than 18 years of age to attend camp
- During Summer Camp, each week has a different theme and dress up day to keep members excited for the Club all summer long!
A Typical Day at Camp:
- Get to the Club: Members walk or are dropped off at the Club
- Sign in: Members check in at the front counter with the staff.
- Belongings in cubby: Members place their personal belongings in a cubby. Though all BGCEC facilities are equipped with security cameras, members are encouraged to leave all valuable items at home for safekeeping.
- Group activities: During camp, members are grouped by age from the time they arrive in the morning until 2:00pm. Members participate in age-appropriate and/or seasonal activities, eat lunch, and socialize in these groups.
- Check schedule: After 2:00pm (drop-in hours), members can check the daily schedule to see what activities are taking place, the room or location of the activity, and the staff running the activity. A new schedule is posted every day, bringing fresh activities for engagement along with it.
- Choose an activity: All activities, change every hour to keep members moving from Club open (about 2:00pm) until closure (6:00pm)!
