The Lakeside Clubhouse serves members of the unincorporated area of Lakeside and students from the Lakeside Union School District. Opened in 1981 on the campus of Lindo Park School, the Clubhouse features a large gymnasium, STEM Lab/homework room, kitchen, art room, outdoor seating area, teen center/room, courtyard and awesome games room! Lakeside Clubhouse Director:
Q: What’s the best part of being a Clubhouse director?
A: The best part of being a Clubhouse Director is the privilege to work with families and the community to provide a place where members can be safe and participate in fun programming. It is awesome to see our members grow and develop their character throughout each school year and to be there to help support them in their growth.
Q: Favorite sports team(s)?
A: My favorite sports team is the San Diego Padres.
Q: Best advice I ever received?
A: The best advice I have ever received is to maintain a growth mindset. Maintaining a growth mindset has allowed me to best support the members, their families, my staff, and the community, as well as continuing to always learn and grow as much as I can so I can be the best director I can be!
Q: My hope for kids that come to our Club is…
A: My hope for the kids that come to our Club is that they feel comfortable and safe, have fun in our activities, and have a voice in our programming!
Q: Favorite Club activity?
A: My favorite club activity is definitely Pac-Man Tag. This is a current favorite with members, as well as being a past favorite among members when I worked as a Recreation Aide as well!
