Meet an Alumni – Jack P

We are so thankful for Jack sharing a glimpse of his time at the Clubs. He had great things to share!

Some stories are woven directly into the foundation of an organization, and Jack’s story is one of them.

Jack was one of the very first boys to join the Club in 1961, a time when the Club was just beginning to shape what it would become for generations to follow. Living across the street, the Club quickly became a natural extension of his everyday life, a place filled with opportunity, connection, and guidance.

What excited Jack most about spending time at the Club was simple but powerful. It was a great meeting place for friends and mentors. Those relationships helped create an environment where learning and fun went hand in hand.

One memory stands out above the rest. Jack fondly recalls building a sailboat, a hands-on experience that captures the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and teamwork the Club has always encouraged.

When asked to describe what the Club meant to him as a child, Jack summed it up perfectly in three words:
Fun, friends, and guidance.

Looking back, Jack describes the Club as a great organization, one that played an important role in his childhood and left a lasting impression through its sense of community and support.

Jack’s story reminds us that the impact of the Club is not only measured in programs or buildings, but in the lifelong memories and values formed within its walls. We are grateful to Jack for being part of the Club’s earliest chapter and for sharing his experience with us.
