Sycuan Contributes $10k to the Fund for Families in Need

Longtime friends and supporters of the Club the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, have donated $10,000 to the Club’s “Fund for Families in Need”, scholarship program! Sycuan is providing financial assistance to local Club families that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and cannot afford the $50 membership fee and/or the monthly rate for Fall Camp (8am-6pm, distance learning support).

The Fund provides financial assistance in the areas of membership, transportation and camp for qualifying families that are suffering from the effects of unemployment, job loss, or reduction in hours or pay due to the COVID-19 crisis or other, children of first-responders and veterans (there is a separate fund for active-duty military) and children of essential employees of the COVID-19 crisis.

Sycuan proudly continues to share the Kumeyaay spirit of giving by partnering with local organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of East County to ensure the well-being and future of our beloved San Diego community.

Thank you Sycuan for always looking out for the kids!
